The weekend of October 20 and 21 offers many fall related events for both those looking to spend time indoors and the outdoor inclined.?
Free Movie at Rave Stonybrook
If you are looking to share some laughs with your family, head over to Rave Cinema Stonybrook Saturday morning.? Rave will show a free showing of Hotel Transylvania at 10am.? Doors open at 9am with seating on a first come, first serve basis.? Cox Media, Incredible Dave?s, and Horner Novelties will hand out free prizes prior to the movie.?

Mayor?s Healthy Hometown Hike
Join Mayor Greg Fischer for a family-friendly fall exploration of Jefferson Memorial Forest from 10am to 2pm.? The event will be held near the Forest?s Environmental Education Center and offer a wider variety of activities showcasing all the Forest has to offer. Forest staff and volunteers, will introduce visitors to our native plant gardens and animal exhibits. There will also be children?s activities at the new kids Nature Explore area.? Visitors can climb the 52-ft Alpine Tower or take advantage of a canoeing demonstration on Mitchell Hill Lake. There will be free pumpkins and pumpkin decorating, hay rides, and Shack in the Back BBQ will provide breakfast and lunch items available for purchase.

Colorfest at Bernheim
Come to the seventeenth annual ColorFest at Bernheim. Enjoy nature-related activities for kids, live entertainment, refreshments from the Bernheim Grill, and tons of outdoor fun for all.? Activities include nature related arts and crafts, music, pumpkin painting, face painting, hayrides, birds of prey, Boy Scout Troop 100 Rope Bridge, and the Scarecrow Jubilee.? Explore the willow pathways of Snake Hollow.? Visitors can also.? The event is free for Members and the regular $5 per car for non-members.??
